(The saddest poem I have written. Reader Discretion is Advised)
Fighting a war against that girl
Both searching for that old pearl
A lost treasure you call love
You know what you're sick of
But it is to hard to say good-bye
So just sit there and watch her cry
Taking all of your drugs
Completely immobilized lying on the rug
Songs play in the air while you hum
As you stay there cold and numb
But it is too hard to say good-bye
You’re addicted but you can lie
Sitting on a bench in the rain
Soaking wet waiting for the train
Caught with the idea of needing a vacation
The train starts to pull into the station
But it is too hard to say good-bye
Let it roll away, just dream to fly
Holding a gun in your hand
Your want to turn to sand
Pull the trigger ready for the bam
The trigger locks, the gun jams
This is no way to say good-bye
Come on, just give life another try
